Education

I obtained my B.S. degree from Alabama A&M in Special Education in 1996. After teaching for many years, I decided to further my education at the University of West Alabama. In 2010, I received my Masters in Special Education K-6 Collaborative and my Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2012.

Experience

I started teaching in 1996. My fisrt job was a special education teacher at J.E. Hobbs with the Wilcox Sumter County BOE. In 1998, I left J.E. Hobbs and started teaching at Uniontown Elementary in Perry County. I taught there for one year. After the school year ended, I moved to Jackson, Ms and taught at Isable Elementary for one year. When a job opening became available closer to home, I applied. I was hired with the Sumter County BOE in 2000. I have been teaching in Sumter County for 16 years. Hopefully, I will retire from here.
